Generators Home Use

can you use a generator at you home instead of the co op?
You can as long as your local codes and ordinances allow it. You will probably find it more expensive to generate your own power. I’ve replied in greater detail in your other related question.
You would be better off investing you money in ways that will allow you to consume less energy. You will get an unbelievable return on investment by changing all of your light bulbs to compact fluorescents. Good insulation will cut both your heating and cooling costs. Some minor changes in your usage habits may save you even more.
The link I’ve posted below will let you download a free sample issue of Homepower Magazine. You may find additioal ideas there.
